The South American Games Handball Competition will take place from 9-13 November 2006 in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Four nations (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay) are participating in both the Men’s and Women’s tournaments. The top 2 nations will qualify for the PANAM Games this summer in Brazil, while the third place teams will qualify for the second chance tournaments in February. (Note: I'm guessing that Brazil is not participating due to the fact that they've already qualified for the PANAM Games and they will be hosting the World Beach Handball Championships very soon.)
